LUCASFILM HOLDING BACK???
We all want the complete scores to Episode's II, III & VI!!!!
Put your fingers to text and scream for them.
Jedi has a few alternate cues that were not used in the movie that are listed as complete movie cues, missing the original Rebo Band cues (Lapti Nek makes Jedi Rocks seem like the theme from The Benny Hill Show). We want all the source material for JEDI! Even if they released a simple LTD. EDITION single disc with the REBO cues including the original "Lapti Nek" LP Version and the Club and Dub-Mixes from the 12" Promo. The Club & Dub Mixes were available as source material from the Episode VI DVD-ROM section via the internet - but all these links are no more and have been just a year after the DVD's were released in 2004!
And sadly - the fans are ignored as the complete scores to Revenge Of The Sith and Attack Of The Clones are available via private Soundtrack dealers and complete without Sound Effects from obselete DVD-Audio rips. There is already a 3 disc ROTJ score (with missing cues/Rebo inc.) available via these sources. And I am not condoning illegal activity. This is a subject that Lucasfilm/Sony Classical should be fully aware of.
Why won't Uncle George and Sony release them and give us the true sound quality and our hard earned cash to have official releases - even if they were limited editions or numbered.

I concur. I've collected all the soundtracks and had the desire to own every minute of Star Wars music imaginable, and was pleased with the Special Edition 4, 5 & 6 soundtracks as well as the Ultimate Edition Phantom Menace, but as you said, Episodes 2 & 3 were completely shorted as far as what was released to the public. The only way anyone can get even a little bit more music is to hunt down the Limited Edition Episode 2 soundtrack sold only in Target for a very limited time.
And the only thing different is a bonus track. 14 tracks instead of 13.
And another thing, when are they going to say anything about releasing the Soundtracks to the Clone Wars TV Show and the Ewok movies. I know people may have their opinions about Ewoks and Clone Wars, but I love the music nevertheless and I think it rightfully deserves a place in any Star Wars music collection. There's lots of mentioning of Kevin Kiner composing 400 minutes for the show, but there's NOTHING online about any future public release of the Television Soundtrack. And Ewoks gave a bad taste to the mouths of many Warsers, but Peter Bernstein did an excellent job of adapting John Williams' work from ROTJ and evolving it into its own Ewok theme. That's my opinion anyway.
Fuzzbox77, we need more music.
Hey, I'm a big french fan of star wars music.
As far as many original soundtracks were release in the past, I 'm wondering why episode II and III complete scores are not released yet.

I am one of those "private dealers" you refer to. We just use DVD rips and also, we find clean cues from video games. But sadly there is still some minor sound effects that is impossible for our group to get rid of. I am one of the top mixers, but I still cannot get a good enough rip. I agree with you and wish they'd finally release a complete score. I do have official access to some parts of the complete score, and the real version of the Max Rebo Band source cue.
If anyone wants to request some tracks from the complete scores or if you have any questions, just let me know at youtube.com/filmscoremedia.
PS. we do not "privately" "deal" them. We give them away publicly for free if anyone requests them.
Okay Lapti nek was released on the original soundtrack of the return of the jedi back in 1983. My sister has a record with both that and the disco version of star wars theme. while very cool at the time, now they seem faded and out of touch. And as for so many people saying that Star Wars Episode 1 The Ultimate Edition was poor and did not have all the cues, this is the reason why they probably won't release them till way later. Honestly I can not see what was wrong with it and as for missing cues, please tell me what was missing as I often watch the movie with the sound down and the soundtrack going at the same time. I think that rather wasting our time panning things, maybe we should be applauding people for doing their best.
